The Abigail Losli Studio shop offers original artwork for the spaces in your life where you need a minute to pause or a reminder to look up.
I work from my home studio in Corvallis, Oregon. You can often find me painting (acrylics and watercolor are my jam) or creating woodblock relief prints. I’m drawn to process-based projects that often involve some sort of meditative, repetitive element. The rigid structure of the printmaking process provides a balance to the fluidity of my painting practice. Artmaking gives me a space to pause and breathe and sort things out.
Ever have a moment in your life where you look back and wonder how exactly you decided to make that decision? That’s how I felt in 2013 when I went back to school full time to pursue a BFA degree after 13 years had passed since I’d taken an art class. I’m so grateful for that moment of boldness that gave me courage to get after that decision. Some people come to work in the creative industry having always known that’s what they were meant to do, and I happily came into this work after years of figuring out what I didn’t want to do, ignoring my creativity, and writing it off as impractical. I’m so glad I was wrong. Creating is part of my purpose. In 2016 I earned my Bachelor of Fine Arts from Oregon State University, with a focus on painting and printmaking.
